Joomla v/s Wordpress Based on Database
Joomla v/s Wordpress Based on Database
hi guys,
I used both CMS from long time , and I found that joomla is better if you compare both based on database....
In joomla we can just export and import database to another new host , does not matter DB export from localhost or vista panel and import into cpanel host bla bla... its robust, and independent from platform.
Now come to wordpress when we export from localhost first we have to change all links of site address....
2nd if we change host, lets suppose our first host use vista panel and new host use cpanel then DB sucks... you site not working if you import your old DataBase, even backup all folder thing not solve the problem :(
either we need to build form start :( or only another option left backup only topics..
so wanna suggest you to use joomla or any other good CMS which has no DB issue.
if you find the solution of this problem then kindly share....
Thanks

Screen Recording Videos compression
Screen Recording Videos compression
There are many software's for screen recording and use different codecs for recording and compression.Compression largely depend upon type of file and codec used by them.
There are some good softwares for recording paid and freeware listed here:
1. Camtasia Studio [paid]
2. Cam Studio [freeware]
Both are good as paid one has more features than free one.
now come to the recording, you need to record the file in avi format. avi has very good compression and has reasonable quality.
1. once you record in avi format then use 7z software for compression.
2. 7z is free on internet you can download freely from here:
www.7-zip.org
3. Use ultra compression in 7z during compression.
4. You will find its compression ratio nearly 0% , Thats cool!
5. Compression ratio for short videos is not 0% becz more is the length more compression and maximum compression is 0% create at least more than 1-2 mint video you will achieve this compresison easily.
Hope you understand. Any doubt feel free to ask...

I hate the annoying message "are you sure?"
I hate the annoying message "are you sure?"
Although not strictly a performance tweak I love this fix as it makes my machine ‘feel’ faster. I hate the annoying ‘are you sure?’ messages that XP displays, especially if I have to use a laptop touchpad to close them. To remove these messages:
1. Right-click on the ‘Recycle Bin’ on the desktop and then click ‘Properties’ 2. Clear the ‘Display Delete Confirmation Dialog’ check box and click ‘Ok’If you do accidently delete a file don’t worry as all is not lost. Just go to your Recycle Bin and ‘Restore’ the file.
Enjoy!

Speed up your Mozilla and Netscape :
Speed up your Mozilla and Netscape :
If you don’t have Firefox you can get it here: http://www.mozilla.com
1. Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: A: network.http.pipelining
B:network.http.proxy.pipelining
C:network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.
2. Alter the entries as follows: Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true” Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true” Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 36. This means it will make 36 requests at once.
3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recive’s. If you’re using a broadband connection you’ll load pages 2-25 times faster now.
Enjoy!

Hibernate your computer to save the start up time
Hibernate your computer to save the start up time
Hibernate for faster start:-
If you turn-down computer when you’re not working on it, you will save the energy, but not the time. If you don’t want to wait until computer turns on, log on, … than you can use Hibernate function. However, you can’t “sleep” all computer like that. Windows 9x with Fat32, for example, can’t hibernate.
How you can tell if your system can hibernate?
In Windows 2000 or Windows XP, login like administrator. In Internet explorer, or in any directory, in Address field, type “control panelpower options” and click Enter. If you see Hibernate card, in dialog box, great. Open that card and see “Disk space for hibernation”. See if your computer fits that condicions. Check “Enable hibernation” and be shore there is no error message.
Next time when you chose “Start-Shutdown” (Windows 98, ME and 2000), chose Hibernate option and go OK. In WindowsXP, chose “Start-Turn Off Computer” and click Shift to turn “Stand By” button to “Hibernate” button.

Automatically Scheduling Window XP to dial BSNL
Automatically Scheduling Window XP to dial BSNL
Its really easy please read completely its worth don't think its too long.
You can schedule Window XP to automatically dial the BSNL connection for you at 0200 Hrs at Night, so you wont have to get up to dial the connection, as I noticed since I switched to Plan500 recently.
Now just leave the CPU running, switch off your Screen, Change Power settings accordingly, that the PC does not goto Standby mode.
Use the following Steps to perform the task:
I assume my Username to be shaviz and password to be patiala.
1. Create a connection to BSNL broadband as usual, by Create a New Connection>>Connect to the Internet>>Set up my connection manually>>Connect using a broadband connection that requires a username and password. Name the ISP name as BSNL. Use a small single name please.
2. Making sure that the connection is setup and is working fine, proceed to the next step.
3. Click on Start>>Control Panel>>Scheduled Tasks>>Add Scheduled Task. Click Next to continue.
4. Click Browse button to open the Select Program to schedule dialog. Browse to c:\windows\system32\rasdial.exe, assuming that your Window is installed in C:\. Click Open to continue.
5. Now select this task to be performed on Daily basis. Now click Next to continue.
6. Now select the Start time to suit your choice. I use 02:05 Hrs. Also set the Perform this task to be done Every day. Leave the Start Date as it is and click on Next button to continue.
7. Select the Username and Password for the account you want to run the connection as. I found some difficulties here, because the Task Scheduler did give some errors when I did not had any password on my account. So I recommend that you setup a Password to your Window User account, otherwise you might face some difficulties. After entering the Window Username & Password, click Next to continue.
8. Now Click the Open advanced properties for this task when I click Finish. Now proceed to the last Step.
9. A new dialog box will open. Here you will see many Tabs. In the Task tab, There is a line in Run box where something like this is written C:\WINDOWS\system32\rasdial.exe. We have to add the connection name, username & password here for this command to function. So, my connection name is BSNL, Username is shaviz and password is patiala, as I assumed above, my modified command will be C:\WINDOWS\system32\rasdial.exe BSNL shaviz patiala.
10. Now click the Settings tab. In the Power Management Section, Enable the Wake the computer to run this task, and click OK.
I just thought to share my experiences with you people. I usually download from Torrents. I just schedule the PC to dial BSNL connection automatically, Disconnect the BSNL connection, Start the Torrent software/Client, Switch off the PC Screen, and goto Sleep myself! The PC dials the connection automatically, and the Torrents start to download.
Enjoy!!!
For Dis Connect:-
Now follow these steps.
1..8 Same as above, with just the name for the Task changed, as prompted by the wizard. Just change the time at which the task starts!
9. A new dialog box will open. Here you will see many Tabs. In the Task tab, There is a line in Run box where something like this is written C:\WINDOWS\system32\rasdial.exe. Now assuming the same that your connection is named BSNL, the new modified command would be C:\WINDOWS\system32\rasdial.exe bsnl /disconnect
Enjoy!
